Spokane Symphony Plays Chamber Soiree with Art Show in Post Falls

On Thursday, March 27, 2008 the Spokane Symphony and the Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center at The Old Church in Post Falls will present an evening of music and art. The event will be co-hosted by members of the Mechetti Chapter of the Spokane Symphony Associates, located in North Idaho.

Doors will open at 6:30PM enabling all ticket holders to preview the art exhibit in the upstairs gallery. The art will be for sale, and a portion of the purchase price will be donated to the Spokane Symphony Associates. Light hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served.

The concert will begin at 7:30PM. The musical program will feature a number of chamber ensembles comprised of members of the Spokane Symphony, specifically, a woodwind quartet by Rossini, a piece for flute, viola and harp by Beethoven, and a string quartet by Hayden The format will be similar to the immensely popular Chamber Soirees presented at the Davenport Hotel.

Tickets will be $30 per person, and seating is limited to 150 people to ensure a memorable musical experience. Mechetti Chapter Members will be able to purchase tickets starting Monday, February 18 at the Old Church, William & 4th St, Post Falls - 457-8950. Sales to the general public will begin on February 25 through Tickets West, the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, The Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center at Old Church or online at http://www.spokanesymphony.org
