BLOOM IN TUNE - May 15-16, 2014

Get Your garden growing and support the Spokane Symphony at this fun two-day event! Two nurseries have tuned up to support the Spokane Symphony this year for the twenty-third Bloom in Tune fundraiser!. The Bernstein Chapter of the Spokane Symphony Associates will be providing cookies and coffee plus the WSU Master Gardeners will be available to answer your gardening questions. A drawing for free Spokane Symphony concert tickets will be held at the end of each day.  


Day 1: Judy's Enchanted Garden

Come to Judy's Enchanted Garden on Thursday, May 16, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 2628 West Northwest Blvd. between Alberta and Lindeke streets. Check out their wonderful bedding plants, super veggies and landscaping plants, plus pots and amendments available for eager gardeners replenishing their gardens and landscapes. They will donate a percentage of their day’s sales to the Symphony Associates. 

 

Day 2: Northland Rosarium
On Friday, May 17, the Northland Rosarium will have a special day in support of the Spokane Symphony where they will donate a percentage of their day’s sales. Their roses are own-root hardy roses and are acclimated to our region. They also have available companion plants and garden sculptures at their nursery and display garden. Northland Rosarium is located at 9405 South Williams Lane, off the Cheney-Spokane Road via South Sherman Road. 


UPSCALE SALE - May 30 and 31 with a presale on May 29

The sixth annual "Upscale Sale" will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 30 and 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1027 West Third Avenue in downtown Spokane. Admission is free. If you cannot wait, there will be a preview sale (admission $5) the evening before, Thursday, May 29 5 to 7 p.m. Hundreds of donors have generously given beautiful items for this sale. They include artwork, jewelry, books, furniture and household décor (including dining sets, patio furniture, mirrors, and rugs), china and glass (including Lenox, Minton, and Wedgwood and many more), table linens, and designer and vintage clothing. This sale happens only once a year and promises something wonderful for everyone. If you would like to donate quality items to this sale, bring them to 1027 W. 3rd Avenue May 20th through the 28th, 10-6.

LLAMA DOO

Gershwin chapter makes the most of natural llama fertilizer and sells this excellent product – no weed seeds – to be used in flower beds throughout the area.  Priced at just $5 per bag it's a bargain that adds to our contribution to the Symphony.Call   458-8733 for information on how to arrange for delivery.
